This magazine subscription will make a difference in the knowledge my students have of the world. So many of my students are from other countries, however their knowledge of the world ends there. In this magazine, my students encounter many topics that spark their interest and imagination. My goal is to use this weekly magazine subscription to share math, science, technology and of course, real world issues with my diverse group of learners! The magazine has a wide range of topics embedded into each issue. We would like to integrate Time for Kids Magazine into our classroom as a way to teach literacy through current events. With Time for Kids we will be able to do shared readings, hold class discussions and create new and interesting lessons that will help prepare our students not only for 5th grade but for their future careers!
