My students walk into my classroom every with a smile on their face, full of energy, and ready to learn. My students have such big hearts and are always willing to help those around them. I call my students "my kids" because in our year together they aren't just kids on my class list, they become part of my heart. My students are continuously working to be respectful, responsible, and safe through their actions and words. All of my students have unique needs. Some face more challenges than others. At our school we recognize and celebrate those differences and work every day to make sure all students are included in daily school activities and are part of the classroom family. This philosophy supports the social and emotional needs of all students and creates a school culture where empathy and support of one another continues to grow.
