I am beginning my 3rd year at Stephen Foster Elementary School. Each year, our class is full of eager minds to achieve more and hungry hearts waiting to be filled with love, discipline and structure. 62% of our incoming fourth graders are one or more grade levels behind. This year, one of my main goals is to change the perception of success into a growth mindset. Meeting my kids where they are at academically and helping them to find small successes in their daily lives will help to increase their confidence and self-worth. I am excited for what the 2017-2018 school year brings and can't wait to see the learning gains for each student. Thank you for your support.
