I am a teacher of a multi-age, Montessori K-1 classroom in a Spanish immersion charter school in North Carolina. Our children come from all economic, racial and social backgrounds. Since we are a charter school, we get limited funding from the state and must use these funds towards the rent and maintenance of our building, as well as teacher salaries.
