I am the proud Science teacher at KIPP NYC College Prep in the Bronx area (Go Yankees!) of New York. I am currently teaching 10th and 11th graders in Chemistry and 11th and 12th graders in College Biology (Bio 121, Bio 123 and Bio 124) through Syracuse University. Yes, my students are earning 8 college credits! In my classes, the students are active participants in their science education, from hands-on labs, building proteins, sketching to recognize form dictates function, conducting independent research and performing dissections from owl pellets to pregnant rats! Often my students see themselves entering the scientific and health fields while in my class and by the end of it all, I see them make their vision a reality--majoring in biology, neuroscience, ecology, biochemistry and other health professions in their college programs. I am proud of my students & the work I do with them. Thank your for donating!
