A Barre allows students to become aware of body lines and proper posture during their warm-up. Ballet schools require barre ballet warm up at the beginning of class. It is also easier for the teacher to assess students as she is walking around. Students learn the traditional way to warm up in ballet class. Ballet is the foundation for several dance disciplines and the use of a barre in the classroom will help with the success of a well rounded dancer. Funding this project will not only boost confidence due to alignment from head to toe during warm up, but will help increase success in the classroom.
