My kinders are very unique and diverse in their backgrounds. Because our school is the only school in our district (of 42 elementary schools) that service the deaf and hard of hearing student population, I have kinder students who need a ASL interpreter. We have qualified as a Title 1 school for the 2017-2018 school year, so many of my students are from low-income families. Many enter my class with traumas from infanthood and need a lot of support academically and socially.
