Bancroft Orchestra currently has 19 violins. Our students are not able to take the instruments outside of class, home or check them out during the summer to continue with their studies. We do not have enough violins for all of our students. Currently, we have multiple students sharing one violin during the school day. Students also have to share the violins when we have our music concerts. This also makes it difficult to have performances all together. We would like to eventually have one violin per student, so they can practice at home. If we are able to supply each of our students with their own violin we will be able to build our music program to capacity.
