My classroom supports a diverse array of students who are actively in engaged in music classes for 5 days week, with one hour in each course. I strive to create a project-based learning environment in which students are able to explore all different types of music genres and styles. In addition to our main concerts, we also put on a Battle of the Bands contest in which students work all year to play with a "band" with their friends and can perform the piece during the competition. Enriching student's lives through the discipline of music is an important concept at Allegro and we strive to make that available for all students since we are a free charter school. I enjoy working with these students everyday and look forward to the joy and music they bring!
