Our students love talking about and sharing books with their classmates, especially when they are part of an exciting series. It is inspirational to hear the independent conversations about reading when a group of kids have all delved into the same literary world. By adding complete sets of some of their favorite books to our library, it will help our students become more engaged, self-directed readers. The inclusion of a variety of graphic novels will help hook our reluctant readers into high-quality literature, and will visually support our English Language Learners as they continue to build their literacy in English.
