My students love science! Hands-on explorations let my students investigate their ideas and learn to think critically and creatively. They develop stamina for learning and gain an understanding of the world around them when they commit to sustained science explorations. I want to capitalize on my students’ natural curiosity and enthusiasm by providing real-world experiences in science. A light table with manipulatives would be an amazing addition to our STEM space. I will be able to create a special area for calm and purposeful science work. The children will use manipulatives on the light table to investigate light, colors, reflections, and shadows. The students can freely explore math concepts with patterns and shapes. This learning space and these materials will provide invaluable learning experiences for my students. The light table will provide multi-sensory learning that motivates and engages my students. They will practice language and develop essential vocabulary through these experiences. My students will work together and learn from one another. These interactive learning opportunities are the essence of our inclusion class.
