Children love technology. In our world it is quickly becoming a necessity to be fluent with a number of devices. In the classroom so many opportunities for support and enrichment are afforded through these technical advances. Because iPads are a device children love to use , it is only smart for their learning journey to capitalize on this. Having this accessible technology in our classroom will increase the opportunity for differentiated independent learning and engagement. My students will be able to use programs geared to standards and skills that they must master and at a self-regulated pace. There are studies that prove iPads are an asset to the classroom and can contribute to student learning and growth. "A research study, conducted in Auburn, Maine showed that Kindergartner students using iPads scored much higher on literacy tests than students that didn’t use the device." Source: TUAW
