One area that my students struggle with the most is technology. At the end of the year they are required to take a state exam that requires the students to take it on the computer. However, my students do not have access to the computers enough to be proficient in technology. With the chrome books, my students will be rotating daily to have access to technology more often, rather than 40 minutes a week. This will allow me to make a chromebook station as one station. At that station, my students will be working and using the online resources for the math and reading curriculum. They will also be able to use powerpoint to create presentation to help build their communication skills. With the world industry focusing on science, technology, engineering and mathematics, they will be able to do coding using the website such as code. By having daily interactions with technology and my guidance, my students will have a better chance of being prepare for jobs of the future. The goal of the chromebook is to prepare my students to be college and career ready.
