I would like to offer an Algebra class to eighth graders. My students need to be challenged with more rigorous material. This class would provide that challenge my students need and also allow them to have advanced math classes in high school. We need graphing calculators to deepen their Algebraic understanding. Graphing calculators are expensive. The cost of the calculator will be too much for many families. I do not want students to feel like they can not take the class because the calculator is too expensive. I want everyone to have the same opportunity. My students are ready for the challenge. If they have the tools, they will succeed.
