As a first year teacher, I want to be able to provide my students with the best possible chance of success as possible! I can't do that without creating a foundation in my classroom with the most basic necessities that every classroom needs. We need pencils, markers, erasers, Sharpie markers, a US map, construction paper, pens, and a pocket chart to start our year off right! We will use these supplies in hands-on learning stations, intervention groups, and daily tasks. The materials will give my students the opportunity to work collaboratively in groups and build our classroom community. They will be able to use the class set of whiteboards, markers, visa vis markers, timers, and chart paper to participate in fun and engaging activities that fill their mind with knew knowledge, while developing their social skills. Additionally, having a printer in the classroom will allow me to ensure that my students needs are being met, without making them wait until recess when I can run to the work room to pick up my printed pages. If my students are struggling with a lesson, I can easily print a modified version of the lesson or activity for extra practice or one-on-one help.
