My students love reading! While some are able to read independently, some have challenges that do not allow them to enjoy reading as much. The students will use these CD players and headphones in the listening center which will provide a differentiated reading experience for each of them. Having a listening center in our classroom will give my students the opportunity to improve their literacy skills in a fun and engaging way. Listening to reading helps struggling students to develop reading comprehension skills, since they do not have to focus on text decoding in order to read the story. My students would love to be able to expand our literacy centers and embark on a reading adventure through technology.
