My school has a diverse culture with students from many different backgrounds and ethnicities. Our school works hard on bringing students together by teaching unity, tolerance, and togetherness. We have multicultural festivities and also engage in unity days to create a climate of positive collaboration. Due to this, we have a positive school culture that embraces diversity and unity. This is seen throughout campus and in my classroom. As a history teacher, my class discusses reads and debates important and sensitive topics that impact our society. However, my students are respectful, responibile and empathetic to others which create a positive classroom environment that allows my classroom to thrive. Because our campus is diverse with a wide range of languages spoken, ethnic backgrounds and socioeconomic levels, students often feel that they learn through each other.
