The Daily Practice Journals will be used as morning work. With morning work, it gets the kids focused and ready for the day. With it broken down into a little bit at a time, the kids are not overwhelmed. Since it is in journal form, the kids will be able to go back and see where they struggled and what they could possibly work on during centers. It will serve as one running record in the classroom. Children learn more when they are having fun, that is why I try to implement centers with every subject. The writing journals will be fun for them, to have a prompt ready to go and be able to be artistic with it afterwards. Correct a Sentence will give them the opportunity to start learning the writing process and editing. With this daily practice my kids will become more confident and proud of their work like I already am!
