Replacing our old, outdated drinking fountains with new, Elkay Water Bottle Filling Stations will help in our efforts to be a healthier school for our students, staff AND environment! As the school nurse, I recognized the need to improve water access and consumption in order to improve health and support learning. Encouraging the use of refillable water bottles will teach our students about environmental stewardship and having water bottle filling stations will increase access to safe, appealing, low-cost drinking water sources throughout our school. How will we do this? By installing AMAZING Elkay Bottle Filling Stations! The Elkay EZH2O® Bottle Filling Station delivers a clean, quick water bottle fill and enhances sustainability by minimizing our dependency on disposable plastic bottles. They feature a sanitary, no-touch sensor activation with an automatic 20-second shut-off timer. The Quick Fill Rate will encourage easy refills during passing periods and the Green Ticker™ counts the quantity of bottles saved from waste! The "retro-fit" kits will fit onto our existing water fountains throughout our school! And we will save on installation costs because our school maintenance crew will install the new bottle filling stations for us!
