Many of my students have never painted before when they enter my classroom and they have definitely never gotten to use multiple types of paint. For some of them, it may be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I hope to teach them techniques they can use to apply the various types of paint while also allowing them some creative freedom. With the use of these materials, they will not be as limited in what they can create. I am surprised at how skilled and talented they are with just paper and a pencil, so I cannot wait to see what they will create when they have more access to color.
