These high interest, leveled readers will engage my kindergarten readers. My students will enter the door on the first day of school with a range of reading skills and I need books to match their levels (and interests). With these books, students would have the ability to be reading daily (informational and fiction) texts during our independent reading workshop. These leveled books would also allow for small group instruction to meet their specific needs as readers. As their skills grow, I want them to have plenty of books to engage their curiosity. These materials would help grow their love of reading which is so important in this early grade of elementary school!
