These books will allow my students to take home a book that they are engaged with that teaches compassion, responsibility, ownership, and respect! By giving these books to my students, you are giving them a piece of history that teaches them how to stand up for what they believe in no matter what the cost! My students come from difficult backgrounds so this book is something they can connect with even though the setting is very different from their homes. This book gives them hope that even though they face challenges, they, too, can make a difference in the world. Thank you for choosing this project!
