At our Wilderness Education Camp, students go to "classes" each day. Our classes are archery, survival, nature studies, and orienteering. During orientation, they learn how to use a compass and how to pace their distance. They are given a real life example of when they need to use compasses and find bearings. Compasses are an intricate part to our camp. During our 5th grade Wilderness Education camp students learn valuable skills that they will take with them for the rest of their lives. We have lots of students who come back to go to camp as counselors and tell the students how much it impacted their lives.
