Having a pencil and working sharpener would help maximize learning time because students would always have something to write with and would hopefully spend less time trying to get the sharpener to work. There are plenty of virtual labs for my science students to take part of but this is hard without sound. We have tried doing the virtual labs using subtitles but these are not always provided or sometimes the subtitles are too small for them to read. Markers, glue and anchor chart paper would be used for the students to make anchor charts with, poster projects or other activities to better cement the standards learned.
