An interactive whiteboard will be a very good tool in enhancing the skills of the students in my class. Using the interactive whiteboard can do wonders for their fine and gross motor control. When children “write” with their wrist up and arm extended it strengthens their arm, wrist, hand and fingers. They are also increasing their balance and core control. Using the interactive whiteboard can help develop my students language skills. Imagine, if when going over a word that a child does not understand, I am able to use our whiteboard to display a picture of what we are talking about. Instead of making a note, getting to a computer, printing it out, and bringing it in the next day, we will have instant access to so much information. Every day the children in my class are learning new words, and using pictures is one of the best ways to help English Language learners, and with an Interactive whiteboard, I will be able to help my students understand more than ever before.
