The PAEs Lab is a hands on curriculum that operates in a simulated work environment in the classroom targeting 9th through 12th grade. My students truly enjoy working in the PAEs LAB learning about different jobs and the skills it takes to do them. Everyday my students transform into "make believe" employees; I then become their supervisor. The PAEs Lab helps them build their job skills while showing what it takes to have and keep a real Job. The PEAs Lab like a real job, incorporate strict work procedures which students must follow. This simulation helps students experience what it is like to be in a real work environment. Furthermore, it gives students the opportunity to explore and learn the many job options which exist in the real world. The PAEs LAB incorporates ( 5 ) components: Consumer Services which features Retail, Cooking & Hospitality. The other four components are Business & Marketing, Processing & Production, Construction Industrial, and Computer technology. Each area has a comprehensive set of tasks design to develop students job skills. Students are encourage to work through each job skill until it is mastered. They are rewarded for their hard work and efforts every two weeks through our class monetary rewarded system. Reason I'm asking for assistance in resources, any that you can provide, is to reward my students throughout the year for their hard work and effort. This will give my students tangle goals to work for throughout the year.
