Our class theme is MonSTARS! Our current classroom library is scary. Not because of the large Mike and Sully monsters but because it contains very few books. Just as monsters come in all sizes, we need books that cover the various reading levels and interests of the students. We need additional books to help our library grow. This is my first year teaching first grade so I have not had the means to build our library. I want to provide ways for my students to build reading skills, fluency and confidence. They will leave first grade being awesome MonSTAR readers.
