My children are at a precious, yet critical age. The experiences they have in school now, will impact how they feel about school for the rest of their lives. It is so important that they are exposed to fun and engaging learning experiences. My students attend school in a district that has been in academic emergency since 2010. In addition, 99.4% of the children I serve are economically disadvantaged, and many of them are forced to deal with hardships that we, as adults, could not bear; yet, they smile. It is my goal to provide my students with a safe, loving and exciting learning environment. It is my hope that my classroom will serve as a refuge for my students needing to escape the hardships they face on a daily basis.
