Technology plays a huge role in our classroom on a daily basis. Just as it has become so important in adults' lives, the same is true for students. From social studies research to writing, science to math fact fluency, vocabulary practice to reading comprehension, technology has so many important applications in schools. Technology is also essential to ELL students who need computers as well as high quality headphones to access language acquisition programs. Though we have computers for every student, sharing a handful of headphones makes it impossible for all students to be on devices at once. Providing every student with their own pair of earbuds would eliminate this problem and allow every student in my class to utilize technology at the same time and throughout our school day. It is incredibly powerful for young children, especially those living in poverty, to have the ability to enrich their learning and explore the world without ever leaving our little classroom. Donations to this project will give all students in my class access to limitless information through technology.
