Just like you when you go to your favorite cafe or restaurant, my students want warm inviting seating options. Providing different sit spots will create a student centered environment that will be extremely motivating! Choices such as a big comfy rug so they can lie on their bellies, cushions to sit on the floor, wobble seats so they can wiggle while they work with a teacher in a small group, or comfy bean bags to read in the library area. Many students can't sit at a desk for 5 hours a day without being able to wiggle. Don't you like to be able to move around at work?!
