The materials that are being requested will educate my students on what healthy means. We will discuss what it means to eat healthy, practice good personal hygiene, and the importance this has on your daily life in and out of school.
My students will learn that it is important to be healthy, practice good personal hygiene, and start the day with a good breakfast so that when they come to school they will be able and ready to learn. We will go over what is good personal hygiene and why this is important. I will also teach my students that even if you do not have a lot of time to eat healthy, there are a lot of food products out there that they can buy that are healthy. Another thing my students will learn is that making healthy food choices throughout the day is extremely important, especially when it comes to snacks.
My students are English Language Learners who have just been in the United States for 1 - 2 years, and their cultures are extremely different from ours. Although our cultures are different, we all need to practice good hygiene and eat healthy. I would like to educate my students on the good healthy habits they need to start and continue to use throughout their lives while living in the United States.
