In the 21st Century learning environment, our children are more technologically savvy than we ever were when I was in school. They have so many opportunities for access to flexible learning devices. While our school does not have a 1:1 computer/student ratio, we do have access to shared Chromebooks.
5th-grade student assignments in math and science are increasingly student-led through the use of Google Classroom and my intention is to drive our curriculum toward more online technology (ultimately 100%) and less paper. In order to accomplish this, my students need headphones.
As you can imagine in a classroom without headphones, accessing learning videos or anything speech related is loud and distracting to everyone. I've chosen a gaming headphone due to comfort and stability and ultimately available options to maximize online usage. This will create a nice, quiet learning environment, open to rich discussions but minimizing computer 'noise.'
We are all grateful for any help provided. Thank you!
