This art center is critical in the development of my students. My students do not receive direct art instruction, this center would allow me to include art into our daily work cycle. Art develops motor skills, vocabulary and language skills, decision making, and creativity. Students would learn through creative painting, drawing, and art projects. In addition to these skills, art raises cultural awareness through themes and materials, builds confidence (students work being displayed, decision making), and helps students learn how to follow steps and directions (guided drawing, set up and clean up, story telling.) I hope to build a love for art in all my students!
