BCES is a title one school that houses nearly 700 students. Very often, we are the only stability that these diversified students have. That being said, I love teaching here! My goal for these students is to have them fall in love with reading. Not an easy task. Many of these students come to school each day in spite of what they have had to endure at home the night before. It makes teaching them even more challenging. That's where my passion of reading comes in. Having traditional novels, is so far from their real life that they have no interest in reading them. Can you blame them? That's why my project is so important. I have chosen novels I know the students will be interested in reading, absorbing, digging deeper into. Hopefully, my passion of reading and having updated interesting novels will turn these hesitant students into passionate readers as well
