The goal of DSA College Decision Day is to recognize high school seniors for their postsecondary educational plans and encourage younger students at DSA and families to prepare early for postsecondary education. College Decision Day is held annually on or around May 1 and is designed to coincide with the date that most seniors must inform a college of their plans to enroll. This is vey important for the students at DSA because we are a Title 1 school which means the majority of our students are at risk. Decision day encourages and excites student about attending college. Without Decision Day a lot of our students would not have any encouragement to press on and attend college. The day will consist of a prep rally style event in our school auditorium. Every senior will be recognized and the college they plan to attend will be announced to the student body. Every senior will receive a t-shirt as a keepsake from decision day. There will be a DJ and a photo booth. Students will also receive a special lunch for the day.
