I am requesting a portable smart board with the pen accessories as a much less expensive alternative to an actual smart board. This piece of technology offers all the same features as a smart board. Interactive whiteboards allow many different forms of media into the classroom like, photos, illustrations, maps, graphs, games, and videos. It will enrich the classroom experience and help expand the content that can be used in learning. It will make information from the internet, educational materials and activities available at the children's fingertips. This will allow for access to far more information at a much faster pace. The children will be able to directly use this technology in a hands on manner. The interactive feature allows for students to demonstrate their grasp of a topic through touching, drawing, and writing. Every learner has an opportunity to participate. These whiteboards allow the children to connect to other children in different locations. This allows for collaboration and distance learning environments. When using SMART boards, student show to increase student-to-student collaboration and increase overall participation in the lesson.They can view virtual field trips to anywhere in the world. They can play thousands of educational games to enhance their learning.
