Each book I choose was to reach different students in my class either to help expand their interest in reading, teach them how to do a report or to give them interesting books to read with a partner. The books about the different environments are to help my high students do reports on a certain environment and share it with the class. Not only do these books support the curriculum taught in 2nd grade, but combine with the Wonders program I feel like my students will have a bigger variety of sources to choose from when completing their assignment. In addition, I choose other books that I know my second- grade boys would love and would be interested in reading. Also, I choose some books for my lower readers so they too have new stuff to read on their level. Lastly, I choose to get some books in pairs in order to encourage partner reading among my students. These are the reasons why I choose these books and now I am asking you to help support me in purchasing.
