Access to grade level, nonfiction text is so important for developing readers. While fiction text is abundant in elementary grades, quality nonfiction books are a little harder to come by. The Scholastic Nonfiction Book Sets are the perfect mix of interesting and informative, and appeal to a variety of interests. Our classroom currently has the Life Cycles set and students absolutely love it! We are able to integrate it seamlessly into our science unit and students are able to practice decoding, comprehension, critical thinking and writing skills while learning important facts. We would love to add additional sets to our class library!
