We are a Head Start preschool classroom that is part of the Academy at Chantilly High School where we have high school students who wish to be future teachers work with our preschoolers. We have 17 children whose families represent many different countries around the world. We have children who speak English, Arabic, Spanish, Kurdish, Nepali, Mongolian and Korean. 16 of these children come from homes where English is not the first language. Our classroom is most of these children's first school experience. These precious children are in our classroom from 9 am to 3:35 pm. They are all eager learners and love to have stories read to them and love to tell you stories and share experiences. Not only are we blessed to work with these wonderful children but also very blessed to work with their wonderful and supportive parents.
