My students will use the books "Days With Frog and Toad", "Little Bear", "Mouse Soup", and "Poppleton Everyday" to develop decoding, reading fluency and written and oral comprehension skills while reading interesting books that are on grade level and fun to read! The books I have chosen for our book projects tie in with our first grade narrative writing units and the first grade science and social studies curriculum. Art and puppetry will also be a part of the book projects that go with the books. I will also be requesting a student-sized puppet theater to go along with this request.
