My classroom is a fast-paced, interactive forum. My classroom is less about being the "sage on the stage" and more about empowering my students. My students and their learning take center stage. English is the subject, but life is the course of study. My job is to give my students the skills they need to succeed in life. I see myself as a shop teacher, giving my kids tool to put in their toolbox. It's really that simple. English is neither an esoteric art nor a form of sorcery...it's simply about learning the tools of the trade.
