My students are eager and ready to learn, but sometimes struggle academically due to sensory needs. My students increasingly require different sensory diets in order to reach their full potential, but I am running out of supplies to meet all students' needs and find myself prioritizing my sensory tools, unable to meet all my students. The tools on my wishlist will allow me to supply my students with more sensory items to help them maintain attention, focus, and comfort in my classroom. The weighted/compression vest are used to supply students with sensory input throughout the day as needed. The fidgets are used during whole group instruction to help distracted students focus, and the flexible seating tools are both used on the carpet and at students desks to help maintain focus and attention in order to understand and complete assignments across all content area These tools will be shared with those in my classroom, as well as throughout my building- as there are many students who benefit from sensory integration strategies.
