I consider myself very lucky in that I get to say, I love my job! I am able to influence super-cool elementary kids by providing a safe, fun, and productive environment to provide a healthy lifestyle in which all kids are moving. My passion for exercise is communicated on a daily basis where students get to choose their group and move from station to station while getting their heart rate up. My "classroom" is very different from a traditional gym in that it's not really a gym at all. We have a covered area in which I set up equipment daily and then store it each night. Although this is my 14th year of teaching, this is my first year working in the Physical Education department. As a result, I don't have a ton of equipment. My administration is very supportive, but I would still like more of a variety of items so that my kids want to come to PE and they are presented with new, cool materials to use.
