All students do not fit into one mold. Sitting up straight and tall in a traditional chair at a desk is not the best fit for every student. My students are figuring out how they learn best using flexible seating. So far, the class is given different options such as standing, kneeling at a short desk, sitting on a ball, using a rocking seat, and traditional seating. The addition of Wobble chairs to the classroom would provide calming movement that helps students organize their minds. The students would be able to use the Wobble chairs instead of regular classroom chairs. Being more focused on instruction will help the students be more successful in school and build their self esteem.
