Have you ever seen 9 year olds sit still for 6 hours straight? Really? Me neither! Nine year old bodies need to move so brains can grow! I have learned, over ten years of teaching, that a still child is not necessarily a learning child. While my students are out of their desks interacting with each other and materials frequently, many still need the ability to move when back at their desks. My 4th graders need flexible seating options, like these rocking stools and stability balls, so that they can have continued movement throughout the day, even when the lesson requires them to sit.
