Thank you for taking the time to look at our project. Many of my students need to move during lessons and work time. Without this movement, they are unable to focus, which can cause missed learning opportunities as well as create a disruptive learning environment for other students. When students have the ability to fidget move, research indicates that this can increase the student's ability to retain information and work through complex tasks. The goal of education it to create flexible thinkers. If the need to move interferes with that, how are we doing the best for our future? We are asking for Hokki Stools, Wobble Chairs and exercise balls. These alternative seating will give my students the opportunity to engage in productive movement during lessons, collaboration and independent work time. As a classroom, we focus on making choices that will lead to the greatest success. Giving students the opportunity to choose their learning environment allows them to find what works best for them and helps them to feel supported in their learning and their future. I look forward to working with you to create an innovative, positive, and focused learning environment.
