Algebra II! Differentiated through Technology? Check. Projects? Check. Applicable problems? Check. Test Preparation? Check. You name it, we do it in Mr. Kurtz's Algebra II class. Utilizing technology as a 1-to-1 school, many students follow their own pathways to learning current concepts. Some students choose to brush up on their mathematical skills through the use of math games, while others like the routine and stability of a traditional problem set. During projects and collaborative work, groups attend workshops (micro-burst lessons) in order to scaffold their learning so they can be successful with their project, no matter the difficulty. Fun is the primary goal of the classroom, while mathematical standards are a very, VERY close second.
