Organization is an important lifelong skill for everyone to possess. I would like to start out the year by having my students organize their reading and writing binders so they can be successful throughout the year. Each student will be able to show their creative side by personalizing their own binder cover and dividers using the art supplies requested. My students will take ownership of their binders while being able to show their artistic talents as well. The tempera paint sticks will be used to design a cover for the reading and writing binders and the insert dividers for each section. The binder dividers will help the students locate items in their notebooks quickly and keep papers safe. The sheet protectors will provide a home for reference sheets and reading logs. The construction paper and copy paper will be used to create anchor charts and foldables. The colored pencils will be used in art designs or used for editing our compositions.
