These materials will allow my students to strengthen and deepen their reading skills. I believe that establishing good reading habits and abilities will insure my students' future success in life. They will learn to critically analyze texts and increase their vocabularies. The Paired Passages that are part of the bundle will allow students to explore key story elements, make connections, and sharpen critical thinking skills. The practice cards and center activities will give students opportunity for independent practice. In addition, the write-on, wipe off comprehension and graphic organizer cards will also allow students to collaborate and share with each other. They will be further challenged to read increasingly difficult texts, in order to increase their reading abilities. The ability to read well, is to the mind, what exercise is to the body! I can think of no greater gift to give students than to teach them to read and read well! Additionally, I hope to instill in my students the pure joy of reading.
