I am an academic counselor at a middle school in the Bronx. My job is to give kids extra support and assist them academically. I have up to 35 struggling students in my room at once. Today, much of the school work is on computers. Many kids do not have computers at home so they come to me during their lunch, gym, or after school to work on projects, papers, homework, or spend time on math and reading programs designed to help them read and write better. Unfortunately, much times goes to waste as many of the computers don't work well or at all and some kids don't get the opportunity they need. Funding this project will inject life into our program! Computers are graciously needed. Thank you for your consideration.
